My name is Kyla! Believe it or not, I was once
deathly afraid of dogs when I was younger. That was
until I got my first dog, Rosie. My parents got her
for me as a puppy, that way I could grow up with her
and become accustomed to dogs.
Rosie was an American Bulldog and boxer mix. She
was a great match for me as we were both energetic. Thanks
to her I am now no longer afraid of dogs and working
in a veterinarian's office.
However, even before Rosie, I was absolutely fascinated
with dogs and the various breeds in the world. I genuinly
believe that I watched more videos and shows on dogs
than I did cartoons.
Now that you know me, let's talk about my current
dog---Maggie May.
I got Maggie on November 15, 2019. This was a little more than
a year after my dad passed away. She has helped me through my
grieving process and has never left my side.
When I first arrived at the house she was born in, I was confident
that I would choose one her sisters and name her Bowie. However,
Maggie had different plans. She waddled up to me and laid down on
my feet. That's when I knew she was the puppy for me.
Maggie has been my best friend ever since and I could not be
more thankful. However, just like with any dog, there were many
